48 ounces of the "clear liquids" described in Phase 1
During Week 1 of this phase, build up to a serving of Lean Proteins at 3 meals each day.
Lean Proteins include:
- Eggs or Egg Whites
- Fish - baked moist, not fried or breaded
- Poultry - ground consistency, dark meat is often tolerated better since it is moister
- Lean meats - pork that hasn't been cooked in sugar or honey
- Yogurt - Fat-free Greek style or light with <25 grams of sugar per serving
- Cheese - low-fat
- Beans
- Nuts, including peanut butter
- Tofu and other meat substitutes
During Week 2, start adding in soft vegetables and skin-free fruits. No corn, celery, or other fibrous vegetables.
After 1 month, raw vegetables and salad are allowed, as tolerated.
