Diet Phase 3

Re-introducing Solid Food!

48 ounces of the "clear liquids" described in Phase 1

During Week 1 of this phase, build up to a serving of Lean Proteins at 3 meals each day.
Lean Proteins include:

  • Eggs or Egg Whites
  • Fish - baked moist, not fried or breaded
  • Poultry - ground consistency, dark meat is often tolerated better since it is moister
  • Lean meats - pork that hasn't been cooked in sugar or honey
  • Yogurt - Fat-free Greek style or light with <25 grams of sugar per serving
  • Cheese - low-fat
  • Beans
  • Nuts, including peanut butter
  • Tofu and other meat substitutes
During Week 2, start adding in soft vegetables and skin-free fruits.  No corn, celery, or other fibrous vegetables.

After 1 month, raw vegetables and salad  are allowed, as tolerated.
